Buying a refurbished ACER laptop

Buying a refurbished ACER should be an experience much like purchasing a new one, except that you'll be saving money.

New laptops come from the factory with the manual, battery, power adaptor and the normal paperwork - if it doesnt come with these things at least, then reconsider your source.

Some models even come with things like remotes and headphones, and if so with a new one, then more than likely with the refurb.

Also, think about an extended warranty, often one for a refurbished laptop is less than for a new one.

Acer: Middle of the road but a market leader

Acer laptops are simple, clean and basic, both in looks and performance, but they deliver exactly what you want and at an amazing price. Other than the Aspire One's comparitively lackluster performance, you would be hardpressed to find feedback about an Acer laptop that was emotional, pro or con. If saving money is your objective, then Acer should be on your Top 10 list.

Price is one of the clear reasons that Acer is leading the netbook market, with the Aspire One D150 a clear example of value in the face of boring. Reports that the touch pads and mousepads are not the best, but that the kwyboard and battery are better than average is the kind of "both sides of the fence" feedback that cements Acer's position as middle of the road, with price driving their sales.
