A general, basic, all-around useful laptop found at refurbished prices makes this any almost any refurbished Gateway laptop a great purchase.

If quality graphics are your thing, then be prepared that this is one of the areas that this particular model skipped out on, but the next model up which is not much more money (the NV7915u) comes with a slightly larger screen with a higer resolution and a larger hard drive.

Gateway notebooks have never been known for their sex appeal, but they are clean and simple and a much more appealing choice than some of the other budget-minded laptops on the market. Gateway has also switched to chiclet-style keys, providing a solid typing experience with no sticking or wobbly keys, a nice sound when depressed and smooth transitions. Many currently available refurbished models will have this feature.
