Cheap Refurbished Laptops

Cheap Refurbished Panasonic Laptops and Toughbooks

Strong is a great quality for a refurbished laptop

Refurbished Panasonic Laptops are generally a great value and worth consideration if budget is important and you aren't swayed by the fact that the laptop isn't "new".

In most cases, Panasonic factory refurbished laptops are not customer returns. Refurbished laptops often have no actual operating time on them, or were used so little that they are practically new and will be in excellent shape.

For example. refurbished Panasonic Toughbooks sometimes come from demo laptops for large Panasonic customers for them to test, becoming teaser or sample units. Panasonic often releases a new model or version of the laptop and they will return the laptops to Panasonic to be refurbished for sale once the samples have been tried. Since they aren't technically "new", Panasonic has to reduce the warranty to only 90 days and then distribute them to partners and dealers for resale. For the customer, the benefits and features of taking a refurbished unit will far outweigh any limitations that the reduced warranty brings. Other minor drawbacks include the lack of OS restore software.

Simply make sure that when you purchase your refurbished Panasonic laptop, that you understand who is selling it, where it came from and what the warranty information is. Some dealers may offer extended warranties.

Toughbook isn't a marketing message

Toughbook seems to have the monopoly in the "durable laptop" market, and this isn't a lifestyle marketing message, Panasonic Toughbooks really live up to their name. Reality though comes at a cost, literally, Toughbooks can be expensive, but this is what makes a refurbished Panasonic Toughbook an incredible value.

For most of their laptops, you can spill fluids on them, drop them from over a foot, or put pressure on them up to about 200 pounds and virtually nothing will happen to a Toughbook laptop. To achieve this toughness Panasonic have developed a lineup of somewhat bulky laptops, but given their strengths, this is a tradeoff that is easy to make. After all, who really cares how it looks before knocking it off a table? It is infinitely preferential to hear "wow, that is an ugly laptop" than "wow, that was a great looking laptop before the screen broke off".

Panasonic ToughbookAn example of a Toughbook that breaks out of that mold a little is the Toughbook W7, a strong but small laptop that weighs only about 3 pounds, but is still bulkier and visually less appealing than it's competitors at this price / feature point, but this really doesn't matter to those for whom a degree of laptop abuse is required, opting for lifespan over looks, which is the smart way to go.
